    I agree the Brexit case is not helped by public perceptions of some of its leaders, however, if you’re going to reduce the debate to a few pictures of unlikable or untrustworthy politicos then I could easily put together a group including Cameron, Osborne, Kinnock and a few others.

    Mind, it does seem to be a feature of many populist movements, including Brexit, to have leaders who are a lot uglier than your run of the mill politicians.

    It is interesting to note that this fearsome quintet garnered support in Labour’s Valleys heartlands whilst next door Tory Monmouthshire voted to Remain.
